Repairing your home or business after fire damage to its original state is our primary aim. As a leading fire damage restoration company, we specialize in fire damage restoration, removal of smoke odors, and deep-cleaning soot from walls, carpets, and upholstery.
Aside from the fire damage itself, smoke and soot can be toxic, creating a hazardous environment. Even if a fire is contained in one area, smoke and soot most likely will travel throughout the entire building. DryTime professionals are highly-prepared, with the experience, tools, and knowledge to clean up fire and smoke damage. Our main objective is to repair your home and restore your cherished possessions to their pre-fire conditions. Here at DryTime, we use appropriate personal protective measures to safely clean, deodorize and restore your property.
Things You Should Consider After a Fire:
- Decrease the amount of movement in the home to help prevent tracking cross-contamination such as soot particles throughout homes containing upholstery and carpet.
- If the electricity has been shut off, empty the freezer and refrigerator to prevent spoiling of food.
- Change your HVAC filter after a detail cleaning has been completed within the home/building.
Things We Would Not Recommend After a Fire:
- Don’t attempt to wash any walls or painted surfaces or shampoo carpet or upholstery without contacting DryTime. Using the inappropriate product or method could lead to additional or irreversible damage.
- Don’t attempt to clean any electrical appliances that may have been close to fire, heat or water without consulting a professional.
- Don’t touch soot-covered items with bare hands. Oils from your skin can cause the soot to permanently stain surfaces.
- Don’t turn on ceiling fixtures if the ceiling is wet. The wiring may be damaged and hazardous.
- Don’t send clothing to an ordinary dry cleaner. Improper cleaning could cause a permanent smoke odor.
